DOYLESTOWN, PA, August 12, 2015—Holiday House Pet Resort & Training Center and Doylestown Veterinary Hospital will host Pup-A-Palooza Summer Showcase 2015 on Friday, August 14 from 11am – 5pm. The pet festival will offer special pet services and fun activities to help benefit the United States War Dogs Association (USWDA) headquartered in Burlington, NJ. The event is free and open to the community and resort clients.
The Doylestown Pet Valu will sell special dog bandanas to raise money for the USWDA. Visitors can also purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win one of several themed gift baskets. And a $25 donation to the USWDA is an automatic entry for the grand prize raffle of Free Year of Hill’s Pet Nutrition Dog Food. The winner of the grand prize raffle will be randomly drawn from entries on September 4 to end the summer-long fundraising campaign.
The raffle donations will benefit the association’s prescription program for retired military and service dogs which provides free prescriptions to dogs enrolled in the program. Many of the dogs require medications to help with pain management, inflammation, anxiety/PTSD, and allergies as well as seizures and cancer treatment.

Founded in 2005, Roxy Reading Therapy Dogs is a non-profit, 501 c 3 organization dedicated to children. Their highly trained and certified emotional therapy dog teams promote Literacy for All and provide comfort to elementary school children, bring comfort and calm to young victims of crime through the Courthouse Program, deliver canine companionship to medically fragile patients at Pedia Manor, and visit children who are patients at Doylestown Hospital. ABOUT BUCKS COUNTY SPCA
For over a century, the Bucks County SPCA has provided a safe haven for animals who have been abandoned or lost, have been surrendered by their owners, or who have endured abuse or neglect. Under our care these animals transform from lost, frightened and unwanted into happy, secure pets. The homes they are welcomed into are similarly transformed into more joyous, loving places. With our community’s support we have grown and expanded, now operating two shelters as well as extensive humane investigation and education programs. We are an independent nonprofit, and not part of a national organization or county government.
