Do you require reservations for daycare?
Your dog’s safety is most important to us. We maintain the best level of staffing every day, keeping our group sizes down and supervision top notch. We do require reservations so we can plan accordingly.
My dog doesn’t like to play with other dogs, would they still enjoy daycare?
We appreciate that some dogs would rather play with people than with the other dogs. Our V.I.P. They’ll enjoy all the fun of our play yards, pools, playground and toys while soaking up the undivided attention of a activity specialist.

Dog Training FAQ
What vaccinations are required for training?
To keep our guests safe and healthy, we require all dogs be up to date on their vaccinations for rabies, distemper combo, bordetella, and canine influenza. For puppy social hour, puppies must be under the care of a veterinarian for initial care and be current on their vaccination schedule.
What can you teach my dog?
Our trainers specialize in helping your dog become the best family member possible with important cues, leash skills, and good manners. We offer a Meet & Greet with the trainers to establish your goals and expectations.
Is my dog too old to benefit from training?
Older dogs can certainly learn new skills! Any age can learn with patience and consistent practice.
What support can I expect after the program?
Holiday House’s Stay & Learn programs include resource materials, informational packets, take-home exercises, and other helpful guidance to ensure your pup succeeds. Following the final lesson with the trainer, the dog, and the pet parents, our training team highly recommends continuing the skills learned at home. Consistent practice reinforces the skills learned. Continued support includes phone and email contact with our training team.
Puppy Training Resources FAQ
What vaccinations does my puppy need to participate?
Every canine attending dog daycare or enrolling in a dog training program is required to have bordetella, distemper, rabies, and canine influenza vaccinations. However, puppies can attend Puppy Social Hour and begin daycare or a training program after their first veterinary visit to begin routine care.
Can I attend the puppy socialization hour with my puppy?
When puppies can hear or smell their parents nearby, they tend to shift their attention from playing to searching for their mom and dad. For this reason, and to discourage the puppies from jumping at the fencing or door, we do not encourage families to stand along the fence or windows. Memorable moments are photographed and shared on the Holiday House Pet Resort & Training Center Facebook page.
Where can I purchase items for puppy training?
Our training staff can recommend training equipment such as halters, collars, and leashes for your puppy during the training evaluation. Dogs & Cats Rule a locally-owned company—with locations in Doylestown, Glenside, New Hope, and Newtown—that offers high-quality natural and organic diets and treats for training, and products, including collars and leashes.
When should my puppy start daycare and training?
Right away! Meeting with our trainers early on ensures the best outcome for a confident, well-mannered dog.
