Our Client Care Specialists are ambassadors of great service. From the front desk to the phones, this position requires a can-do, customer-first attitude. You will be responsible for gathering new client information, explaining our services and guiding clients with their pet care decisions, making reservations, providing resort tours, handling client requests, and promoting the resort at community events. Applicants should demonstrate great communication, phone, computer, and sales skills.
Daycare Teachers
Yes, a teaching position! Our daycare program is more than a yard of dogs hanging out together. Our teachers actively engage the students and create important bonds. Programs are designed to provide the proper balance of enrichment, mental stimulation, exercise, and rest throughout the day. You will be responsible for understanding canine body language and behaviors and group dynamics. Experience working with pets is a plus, but training is provided. Applicants must love dogs and should demonstrate good customer service skills and a willingness to learn.
Dog Trainer
Training is about establishing a language the dog understands and setting expectations for good behavior. The professional dog training team at Holiday House Pet Resort & Training Center is highly educated in dog behaviors, positive reinforcement techniques, and non-verbal body language. Our team stays current on training certifications and technique by attending the latest conferences, seminars, and even other dog training classes with their own dogs. Many of our trainers have been promoted from other positions at the resort. Applicants should have experience working with dogs in a professional setting—training experience preferred.
Lodging/Guest Services
This team is the heart of pet care services, creating the luxurious resort atmosphere and providing the just-like-home experiences for every guest. Responsibilities include suite maintenance, meal prep, health monitoring, and guest activities. Applicants should be hard-working, self-starters who are willing to learn. Applicant should also possess effective communication skills. This position is a terrific start for someone interested in building a career in the pet care industry.
The resort and spa experience always includes a refreshing bath. Responsibilities include bathing the pet for a grooming appointment or preparing the pet to leave their resort vacation looking fantastic and smelling great. It starts with a sudsy bubble bath and finishes with a blow-dry and brush-out. No experience necessary; training and certifications are provided. Applicants must be comfortable working with animals of all breeds and sizes, and have a willingness to learn. A terrific start for a career in pet grooming.
Pet Groomers
Well-styled dogs look fabulous thanks to a groomer. Grooming is essential to a pet’s overall health and wellness. Responsibilities include having breed-standard style knowledge, providing skin and coat assessments and recommendations, and working with the clients. Applicants should be educated in grooming techniques; we are willing to provide training for the right candidate. Good communication skills are needed.
