Several of the Roxy Reading Therapy Dogs featured in the new children’s book Be Like Bud paw-tographed over 50 copies at a recent book signing event at the Holiday House Pet Resort Spa on State in Doylestown.
Be Like Bud is the first children’s book created by Roxy Reading Therapy Dogs to benefit the non-profit, volunteer organization. The inspirational book features over 100 pages of positive messages of support and comfort with professional photos of the Roxy Reading Therapy Dogs.

Be Like Bud is an inspirational children’s book featuring the Roxy Reading Therapy Dogs
“The Roxy Reading Therapy Dogs organization has been really touched by the support of the community and everyone who has attended our book signing events. It was great fun to see the children and families interacting with many of the dogs featured in our book at the event held at Holiday House Pet Resort’s Spa on State,” said Sharon Fleck, president of Roxy Reading Therapy Dogs.
Roxy Reading Therapy Dogs’ programs provide a dependable support system for thousands of children in Bucks County, Pennsylvania by promoting literacy in schools, soothing fears in the courthouse, comforting pediatric patients, medically fragile children, cognitively and physically challenged children, and teens struggling with anxiety, stress and grief. Their unique therapeutic services are provided entirely by volunteer certified pet therapy teams absolutely FREE of charge for families, schools and taxpayers.
The book was designed for children of all ages and showcases the dogs’ love of children and their ability to comfort and connect with them, as well as what makes each therapy dog special.
