Training Foundations I
Training Foundations I is the perfect introduction to training for puppies up to 4 1/2 months old. It is recommended to have your puppy also participate in our free weekly Puppy Social Hour. Puppies become better behaved when they are given clear rules and boundaries, and when they receive positive reinforcement for good behavior.
Objectives of Training Foundations I:
- Teaching and reinforcing your puppy’s name
- Socializing and introducing your puppy to new environments
- Manners and boundaries—start your puppy on the path of good behavior while bonding with the family and encouraging a desire to learn
- Appropriate play and general puppy care
- Introduction to basic obedience and leash walking
- Fun and games
Training Foundations II
Training Foundations II is geared for puppies from 4 1/2 months old to 8 months old. Our training foundation sessions are easy to understand. Puppies become better behaved when they are given clear rules and boundaries, and when they receive positive reinforcement for good behavior.
Objectives of Training Foundations II:
- Reinforcing your puppy’s name
- Socializing and introducing your puppy to new environments
- Manners and boundaries—an introduction to discouraging behaviors such as jumping up, excessive barking, and addressing other concerns
- Emphasis on basic obedience and leash walking
- Appropriate play and general puppy care
Training Foundations III
Training Foundations III focuses on puppies that are 8 months of age and older. These classes focus on fostering confidence, respect and trust between your dog and you through proper socialization and positive reinforcement. Our group classes are fun and family-friendly.
Objectives of Training Foundations III:
- Creating reliable basic commands including sit, down, stay, come, and leave it
- Emphasis on improving focus and responsiveness with distractions
- Manners and boundaries including specific advice on jumping up, running through doors, excessive barking, and other problem behaviors

Prerequisites
- Puppy must be under veterinary care for vaccinations
- Puppies 8 weeks old to 5 months old
- Fecal check w/Giardia test – Results must be negative and submitted to Holiday House Pet Resort prior to the first class
Training Foundations II

- Required vaccinations: Rabies & Distemper; Recommended: Bordetella & Canine Influenza
- Fecal check w/Giardia test – Results must be negative and submitted to Holiday House Pet Resort prior to the first class
- Must be 4.5 months to 8 months
