DOYLESTOWN, PA, December 13, 2022—A Woman’s Place received a $800.00 donation from Holiday House Pet Resort & Training Center. The dog daycare program at the resort held its annual holiday fundraising event to benefit the non-profit organization. Santa posed with over 20 dogs and received a personalized letter from each dog during their special visit.

A Woman’s Place (AWP) is a community resource for victims of domestic violence. The organization was formed in 1976 and first provided safe shelter for a woman and her two children on Christmas Eve of that year.

“A Woman’s Place is so grateful for our partnership with Holiday House. Each year they raise funds to support our shelter, counseling, legal services and more. The $800 raised this year will provide eight nights of shelter for a family in a place that is safe, warm, and free from domestic abuse,” said Marianne Lynch, Executive Director of A Woman’s Place.

AWP manages a confidential hotline, a full-service shelter for victims and their children, and counseling services and assistance. It also provides free education and training programs to help communities respond to domestic violence, support survivors, and prevent future violence. Donations ensure the programs and services remain free to the victims of domestic violence and their children.

Holiday House Pet Resort & Training Center holds several fundraising events each year to benefit community and pet-related non-profit organizations.

“We are grateful for all of our clients, and for one busy client in particular, with many professional commitments in the Philadelphia area as Santa, for making this annual fundraising event so successful. During this season of giving, it is heartwarming for everyone involved to know what their donations and efforts mean for women and children at risk in the community,” said Dr. Laura Weis co-owner of Holiday House Pet Resort & Training Center and Doylestown Veterinary Hospital & Holistic Pet Care.

Charles Gill, as Santa, performs with the Philly Pops and makes numerous appearances throughout the Delaware Valley during the holiday season. He is also a brand ambassador for welcomesanta.com.
