History

Holiday House Pet Resort has been dedicated to providing a loving and fun environment for vacationing pets for more than sixty years. Founded in 1951 by Dr. William Ivans, Holiday House was known from the beginning as the ultimate destination for pets in Bucks County. Dr. Ivans, a veterinarian, built Holiday House with luxuries unknown for pets at that time, such as in-floor heating, automatically refilling water bowls, tiled suites, and expansive indoor/outdoor lodging areas.

Since that time, Holiday House Pet Resort has been continuously owned and operated by veterinarians, ensuring that the highest levels of health and care are maintained during your pet’s resort experience!

Meet the Owners

Holiday House Pet Resort has been owned since 2004 by Drs. Laura and Randy Weis. While looking for a permanent home for their veterinary practice, they found and fell in love with Holiday House Pet Resort. Owned and operated by veterinarians since it was founded in 1951, Holiday House already had a strong tradition of providing quality care for family pets.  Drs. Laura and Randy set about preserving the best of Holiday House, and adding and updating features to make it a facility at which they would feel comfortable leaving their own pets.  

The vision of Holiday House embraced by Drs. Laura and Randy led to the addition of a full-service Doggie Daycare and a premier Grooming Facility and Spa.  Each vacation package is carefully planned for every guest, with the emphasis on fun activities to ensure every pet has the best experience possible.  

Holiday House Pet Resort is not just a business; for Laura and Randy, it is a passion and a joy.  They live on premises and spend every day with the pets and employees of Holiday House.  Their three boys are growing up helping in the Doggie Daycare, caring for our guests, and participating in the fun events that are a hallmark of Holiday House Pet Resort.  Providing exceptional pet care is the mission of Drs. Laura and Randy, and Holiday House is the fulfillment of that mission.

Our Values Pets and pet care are our passions.  Drs. Laura and Randy Weis have been involved in the pet care and veterinary fields since they were young teenagers, and they recruit, hire, and educate employees who are just as committed.   Every pet who comes to Holiday House is treated as though he or she were a member of our family.  We believe every pet in our care is entitled to enriching activities, excellent nutrition, a safe and secure environment, and lots of love.

Our Facility Holiday House was designed with the comfort and safety of pets in mind.  Every dog has a choice of suite sizes; even a Great Dane can stretch out in comfort in our roomy, tiled enclosures.  Every canine guest has access to a private outdoor elimination area and we have a separate facility for our smallest dogs.  Cats enjoy their own quiet area with multi-level condos, away from our canine lodgers.  

Our Customer Care All of the guests who visit Holiday House come to us with a person attached to their leashes or carriers.  We understand the trust you are placing in us to care for the canine and feline members of your family, and we will do everything in our power to nurture and celebrate the relationship we build with you.  Our goal is to exceed your expectations.

Our Veterinarians Doylestown Veterinary Hospital is located on the same property as Holiday House Pet Resort and is also owned by Drs. Laura and Randy Weis.  Our staff at Holiday House is trained to recognize problems that require the attention of a veterinarian, and will make sure your pet receives prompt medical care.

Our Referrals We are the number one pet care facility recommended by area veterinarians, and the majority of our new customers come to us through referrals from existing customers.  We believe the path to excellence is paved by developing long-term relationships with individuals and the community.
